The supervisory board of STOAG is reconstituted

The Supervisory Board of STOAG Stadtwerke Oberhausen GmbH held its first meeting on March 26, 2026. The board's reconstitution takes place regularly following the Oberhausen municipal elections. During the meeting, Denis Osmann (CDU) was re-elected as Chairman of the Supervisory Board. He first assumed this position in March 2021 and continues to enjoy the full confidence of the board. Silke Wilts (SPD) was elected First Deputy Chairwoman. Sebastian Pechoel, representing the employee representatives, was elected Second Deputy Chairman.

Thorsten Berg, Mayor of Oberhausen, warmly congratulates the Chairman and his deputies on their election and thanks all members of the Supervisory Board for their willingness to assume responsibility for the company. "A capable and committed Supervisory Board is an important foundation for the strategic development of STOAG. We look forward to continued constructive, trusting, and objective cooperation," says Thorsten Berg. 

The Supervisory Board advises STOAG on key future issues, the implementation of the transport transition, and the company's economic and sustainable orientation. These include, among other things, completing the missing link in tram line 105 between Oberhausen and Essen, the planned construction of a new depot, and the further electrification of the bus fleet. The goal is a reliable, modern, and future-proof public transport system in Oberhausen. Denis Osmann explains: "I thank the Supervisory Board for their renewed confidence and look forward to continued collaboration. Together, we are taking responsibility for the strategic development of the company and are resolutely driving forward an efficient, sustainable, and future-oriented public transport system for Oberhausen."
