Construction work on the route - no tram between Sterkrade-Neumarkt and the main train station

As in every summer, STOAG uses the holiday season to carry out necessary work on the public transport route. From July 4th up to and including August 12th, the tram only runs between Mülheim Hauptfriedhof and Oberhausen Hauptbahnhof. Lines SB90, SB98 and 960 run between Oberhausen main station and Sterkrade station. In addition, a rail replacement bus service for line 112 will be set up between Mondays and Fridays between the main station and Sterkrade station. The changed tram journeys and the journeys of the rail replacement service are stored in the electronic timetable information.

The reason for the shortening of the tram is construction work, particularly in the area of the Olga-Park stop. Two switch systems are being replaced here. In addition, two transition constructions and the rail expansion devices will be renewed, i.e. the parts that compensate for the movements and length changes between bridge, rail and slab track. The time is also used to carry out locksmith, green cutting and cleaning work along the route as well as minor roadway renovations.
