Bus travel with rollator

As part of the European Mobility Week, STOAG invites you to a free safety training session for walker users on Wednesday, September 21st. The training takes place at the Sterkrade bus station, bus platform 5. A STOAG bus is available here between 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. for practice purposes. Registration is not required.

Getting on and off the bus is easy because the STOAG buses have particularly large parking spaces in the boarding area of the middle door. "With the training, we want to give our mobility-impaired passengers security and take away the fear of using the bus," says STOAG spokeswoman Sabine Müller. "Relatives are also very welcome at the training."

STOAG employees show you how to get on and off the walker correctly, provide practical assistance and have tips ready for safe travel on public transport. During safety training, there is enough time to practice getting in and out of the car, so that later on it works under time pressure in everyday life. "Ultimately, practice makes perfect," says Sabine Müller.

During the event, road safety advisors from the Oberhausen police and a representative from the traffic police will also be on site to inform senior citizens in particular about safety-related aspects in road traffic.
