The joint project for the qualification of bus drivers is entering a new round

The employment agency, the job center and STOAG are once again offering the training project to qualify bus drivers together with the Krüssmann driving school (a brand of SBH West GmbH). After the successful implementation last year, the Look & See Days are taking place again to whet people's appetite for training as a bus driver.

Anyone who is looking for a challenge and appreciates variety in their everyday working life will find working as a bus driver exciting. Because every working day brings new encounters and new experiences.

The joint project of the employment agency, Krüssmann driving school (SBH West GmbH), job center and STOAG aims to qualify people for driving services and at the same time actively counteract the shortage of skilled workers in the area of public transport.

Look & See Days offer insights into the profession

Before the six-month training starts on April 1st or June 1st, interested parties can get a first impression of the job of a bus driver and take a look behind the scenes at the Look&See Days in January and February. On several dates there will be the opportunity to visit the STOAG depot, ask questions and even drive a 330 hp bus yourself. Anyone interested in the training can apply directly afterwards.

Requirements and Registration

The requirements for participation in the Look & See Days as well as in the training are a minimum age of 23 years, a Class B driving license, at least two years of driving experience and a good knowledge of German. Participation is free of charge, a binding registration for a Look & See Day by email with the subject "Participation in the Look and See Day" to tq3 measureat@stoagdot.de with a CV and a copy of your driver's license is required. Only complete application documents can be considered. Applications can be submitted to STOAG until January 26th. The HR department will also be happy to answer any further questions you may have about the project.

Training takes place in Oberhausen

The training lasts around six months and consists of four months of theoretical training at the Krüssmann driving school in Oberhausen and two months of practical training on buses at STOAG. Modern electric buses are also used. After successfully completing the training at the driving school and the exam, participants receive a Class D/DE driving license, the so-called bus driver's license. What is particularly attractive is that the costs of the training are covered and participants receive a permanent employment contract with STOAG at the start of the training.
