Hypertension - the unrecognized danger

Friday, May 17th is "World Hypertension Day". Most people know the term under the name high blood pressure - but very few know that it is an often undetected danger to their own health, as it (initially) hardly causes any symptoms. However, if high blood pressure is left untreated, the risk of stroke, heart attack and other serious vascular diseases increases.

In cooperation with Stadtwerke Oberhausen AG (STOAG), "Quali-Net O.", the quality network of Oberhausen specialists and general practitioners, is carrying out a so far unique, literally "crazy" campaign on May 17th: With Irmgard Scotti and Dr. Horst-Dieter Kalina, both specialists in internal medicine, and Dr. Ulrich Kröll, specialist in cardiology, and Dr. Karsten Müller, general practitioner, four specialists are on board the tram line 112 to inform passengers about the dangers of hypertension and to take free blood pressure measurements. All you need is a valid ticket.

The tram starts at 11:06 a.m. at the Sterkrade Neumarkt stop and runs via Sterkrade, Neue Mitte, Oberhausen Hauptbahnhof and various stops in Mülheim to the Kaiserplatz stop, where it arrives after 35 minutes. The doctors of the "Quali-Net O." then stay on board in order to return to the starting point at 11:48 am after the turnaround. All passengers are cordially invited to take advantage of this extraordinary offer - with a good trip, as always, and hopefully good high blood pressure values.
