New STOAG stop

On January 9th, STOAG will put a new stop into operation. The “Alte Walz” stop will be set up on the street of the same name near the MEDA kitchen. The 957 and 961 buses stop there. The reason for the new stop is the move of the social council house to Essener Straße. The new stop means that the social city hall is connected to the local public transport system with a significantly shorter footpath, an advantage especially for customers with restricted mobility. "In the electronic timetable information, it is possible to enter Alte Walz as well as the social welfare office or the social council", explains Jochen Sander, Head of Traffic Management at STOAG, and adds: "This means that timetable information is particularly easy to call up."

The stop will initially be set up as a provisional stop, but a major expansion of the stop with adaptation of the traffic lights is planned.

Another, albeit small, change will be made on January 9th: The Alsfeldstrasse stop will be called “Luchscenter” in the future. Lines 955, 962, NE1 and emergency vehicles E405, E423 and E432 stop here.
