Serious accident on the public transport cup

On June 9, at around 10:50 a.m., a serious traffic accident occurred on the public transport route that connects the main train station with the Sterkrade train station and which is only used by buses and trams. A STOAG bus (line SB91) collided with a tram on the Ruhrbahn (line 112) when entering the route in the Werthfeldstraße area. Six passengers were seriously injured and several people were slightly injured. A large contingent of police, fire brigade and rescue services as well as emergency chaplains, also from the neighboring towns, took care of the passengers on site. Both vehicles are badly damaged. The cause of the accident is still unknown. The public transport route was completely closed until 17 p.m.
