As part of the European Mobility Week, STOAG is offering a practical safety training course for rollator users. The event will take place on Friday, September 20th, at the Sterkrade bus station, bus platform 5. A STOAG bus will be available for practice and demonstration purposes from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Registration is not necessary and participation is free.
The aim of the training is to impart practical skills for safe travel in buses and trams and to reduce uncertainty when using the rollator. The STOAG buses are designed to meet the needs of people with reduced mobility and offer spacious parking spaces in the entry area of the middle door.
STOAG employees demonstrate how to get in and out of a rollator correctly, provide practical assistance and offer tips for traveling safely on public transport. Sufficient time is planned for practical exercises.
During the event, in addition to the STOAG employees, traffic safety advisors from the Oberhausen police and representatives from the traffic watch will also be on site. They will provide information on safety-related aspects of road traffic that are particularly important for senior citizens.
