Ticket changes for the new year

From January 1, 2023, new prices will apply in the Rhein-Ruhr transport association (VRR). Single, 2022-, 4-, 10-, 4-, 24-hour- and additional tickets purchased in 48 can be used until March 31, 2023. If the tickets were purchased from STOAG, they can be exchanged for tickets with the current tariff up to 31 December 2025 in all STOAG customer centers by paying the difference. Tickets purchased online remain valid beyond the three months.

Social ticket by subscription

Against the background of giving low-income people access to public mobility services, the VRR is further developing the social ticket, called MeinTicket. From January 1, 2023, the ticket will also be available as a subscription. Customers entitled to a SozialTicket benefit from a lower price compared to the regular monthly ticket.

Germany ticket

The DeutschlandTicket is expected to be available on April 1, 2023. For 49 euros, the local transport ticket, which is valid throughout Germany, will be available as a subscription via the STOAG app or directly from the STOAG customer centers. STOAG subscribers will be informed about the new ticket in good time and given the opportunity to switch their subscription to the DeutschlandTicket.
