Improvements in the STOAG timetable from September 7th

On September 7th there will be changes to the timetable for eight bus routes and the tram. The reason for this is, on the one hand, the timetable change at the transport companies in Duisburg, Essen and Mülheim, which affects the common routes 112, 122,136, 10, NE12 and NEXNUMX in the Oberhausen city area.
On the other hand, after the introduction of the new route network in June, STOAG checked all the information from passengers and made adjustments, which will now also be implemented on September 7th. The SB90 line receives two additional trips in the morning from Holten Markt to improve the connection to the trains in the direction of Düsseldorf at the Holten train station.
The lines SB90, SB92 and 957 each receive an early journey to the main train station in order to enable a connection to the S3 at 4:38 a.m. in the direction of Essen.
On the 959 line, the 30-minute intervals are extended by one trip on weekdays - this gives commuters in the Waldteich / Weierheide area a better connection to Sterkrade and the travel times are better adapted to the shop closing times.

Emergency vehicle in school traffic changed

The timetable for emergency vehicles at the beginning and end of school has also been revised. Since the emergency vehicles usually drive to several schools on their journey, they cannot stop in front of each school immediately before the start of lessons. “When the fifth graders attend secondary schools for the first time after the summer vacation, the student flows change. If necessary, we can then change individual travel times again, ”says Frank Hermann, the head of the STOAG department responsible for traffic planning. “Experience has shown that many parents accompany their children on the first days of school - this leads to particularly full buses at the beginning of each year. A situation that normalizes after a few days, ”continues Frank Hermann.
