The STOAG timetable at the turn of the year

Around the turn of the year, the timetable for buses and trams changes. The Revierflitzer® also take a break between 23:30 p.m. and 00:30 a.m.

The NachtExpress lines NE1-NE7 start again from 00:30 a.m. Until around 5:30 a.m. they double their frequency and run every 30 minutes. The cross-city lines NE10, NE11 and NE12 (tram) also increase their frequency in the first hours of the new year, the NE21 runs every hour.

The Sunday timetable applies on January 1st. A special timetable only applies to the cross-city lines X42, SB91, 263 and 979 until around 10 a.m., after which the regular Sunday timetable also applies to these lines. The Revierflitzer® are on the road until 9 a.m. on New Year’s Day.

Always up to date: the online timetable information

All current travel times are available via the electronic timetable information and the STOAG app. Especially for cross-city connections over the turn of the year, it is advisable to take a look at the electronic timetable information for planning.

STOAG recommends that passengers who want to be sure that their desired journey takes place take a look at the so-called departure monitor before starting their journey. This can be found both in the STOAG app and on the STOAG website as a menu item within the timetable information. While all journeys made are displayed in the electronic timetable information, the departure monitor also lists the journeys that have been canceled.

Telephone timetable information is available around the clock on the hotline 0800 6 50 40 30 (free of charge from all German networks). The STOAG customer centers at the main train station and Sterkrade train station are open between 9 a.m. and 14 p.m. on New Year’s Eve.
