Change of schedule at STOAG

On January 8th there will be a timetable change at STOAG, which is all about electromobility.

A further 1 electric buses are expected to be delivered in the first half of 2023, which will gradually go into regular service. The four new charging stations at the Wehrstrasse, Goerdelerstrasse, Hirschkamp and Everslohstrasse stops will also be put into operation in the first half of the year for opportunity charging of the buses. A new bus platform will be built on Mellinghofer Strasse at the Wehrstrasse terminus. This climb also functions as a charging station.

The new electric buses will be on the lines 952, 953, 954, 956, 961 and SB97 deployed. All line paths are retained.

Unlike the electric buses of the first generation, due to the larger battery capacity of the new electric buses, it is only available in the Lines 954 and 961 to major timetable adjustments. Here the departure times change along the entire route. In the case of line 954, this improves the connections to rail traffic at the Holten and Sterkrade stations. There are only minor adjustments in the minute range Lines 953 and 956.

Further changes

An extended offer in the form of additional trips is available on the Lines 967 and 976, On the Line 976 there will be travel time adjustments in both directions. There are also changes to the NE6 for the last rides on Saturdays, these are due to adjustments to the SB92 and SB93 caught.

Even with the emergency vehicles E407, E420, E421, E436, E440 and E443 there are changes in school transport. All current travel times can be called up via the electronic timetable information and via the STOAG app. Further information is also available on the Internet at www.stoag.de. The new STOAG timetable books are available free of charge from the three STOAG customer centers and ticket offices.

New names for stops

As part of the timetable change, five stops will be given new names. The Jakob-Plum-Straße stop will be called Rothebuschstraße in future. The Rabenstraße stop is renamed Scheiferskamp. The Babcock Plant I stop will be changed to Quartier 231. The Johannesschule stop will be called the Astrid Lindgren School and the Schladschule stop will be renamed Hausbergstraße.
