STOAG's schedule directory information offers you the current connections for all of Germany – for bus and rail, for short (local) and long distance connections.
Customisable
By utilising various settings, you can customise the search for connections to your individual needs. You can determine, for example, how often you want to change buses or with which means of transport you want to ride.
Completing the form – done quickly
Start, destination, time
Enter your starting point and your destination as well as the time during which you want to ride into the respective fields. With respect to the starting point and destination, you can enter either the stops, streets or also important locations (such as public offices, theatres, hospitals, hotels, places of interest or similar).
Entering intermediate stops
Would you like to drive through a certain area, even if that is perhaps not the shortest route? Then use the link "Zwischenstation eingeben" (enter intermediate stop) below the destination entry.
Searching a connection
Click on "Verbindung suchen" (searching a connection) and 3 or 4 of the quickest connections will be displayed to you. By clicking on the button "Rückfahrt" (return journey) you can participate in planning your return journey directly. If you would like to be shown earlier or later connections, you can use the small arrows in the departure column for that. Using the checkbox "zum Drucken auswählen" (select for printing), you can combine a version tailored to you individually and print it out easily for yourself.
Selecting a line: short or long distance journey?
At the item "selecting a line" you can determine if you want to use short distance connections or if you also want to incorporate IC, EC and ICE in your search. The default setting is the option "nur Nahverkehr" (short distance traffic only). If you want to specify even more precisely with what kind of means of transport you want to ride, you can exclude, in a very targeted manner, individual means of transport, such as bus or underground, by going to "Ausgewählte Verkehrsmittel" (selected means of transport).
Additional options
Transfers
Under the heading "Weitere Optionen" (additional options) you can determine how often you want to transfer. The default setting here is "beliebig oft" (as often as you like).
Walking speed
The walking speed can also be set individually. For example, if you have a lot of baggage and would like to have more time for a transfer, you can set your walking speed to "langsam" (slow).
Tips
You need not spell out larger cities in their entirety. In most cases, it suffices if you enter the license plate abbreviations for a city – meaning, for example "OB" for Oberhausen or "MH" for Mülheim.
What, if you do not know the exact spelling of a bus stop or an address?
No problem, because after you submit your entry, you will receive several suggestions of names that sound similar – and you can select the entry you were looking for.
