Even if you can use a screwdriver just as well as a laptop and are not afraid of high-voltage technology or oil-smeared hands, we have a training position for you.

Your advantages at a glance:

  • Your training salary is based on the collective agreement and will be as follows from May 2026:
                 1st year of apprenticeship: €1.368,26
                 2st year of apprenticeship: €1.418,20
                 3st year of apprenticeship: €1.464,02

                  4st year of apprenticeship: €1.527,59

other requirements: Good technical understanding, reliability, punctuality and a sense of responsibility as well as a high degree of willingness to learn, commitment and teamwork
Duration: 3 ½ years
Start: annually on September 1st

What awaits you: An apprenticeship in the in-house workshop of a modern company with a long tradition. You'll learn the trade directly from experts of every generation. In addition, the guild for the automotive trade offers inter-company training courses, including on the topic of electromobility.

Training focus: High-voltage and assembly technology, control and regulation systems, power supply and starting systems, engine mechanics, engine management systems, exhaust systems, motor vehicle maintenance and assessment of vehicle damage.

Training locations: STOAG Stadtwerke Oberhausen depot and Hans-Sachs-Berufskolleg Oberhausen 

 

Graduation: at least good secondary school leaving certificate
other requirements: Good technical understanding, Class B driving license, reliability, punctuality and a sense of responsibility as well as a high degree of willingness to learn, commitment and teamwork skills
Duration: 3 years
Start: annually on September 1st

What awaits you: This apprenticeship offers you the opportunity to gain extensive knowledge of our buses (hybrid, electric, and diesel) and their maintenance. You will drive our buses for passenger transport, taking into account road traffic regulations, road safety, and environmental protection. Theoretical and practical training for the Class D driver's license will take place during working hours.

Training focus: Obtaining a Class D driving license, driving a bus, checking, maintaining and servicing vehicles, preparing and carrying out transport based on the latest technical standards, customer-oriented behavior, and dealing with accidents and incidents.

Training locations: Depot STOAG Stadtwerke Oberhausen and BKM Berufskolleg Mitte Essen

 

Graduation: good FOR degree and good basic knowledge of the English language
other requirements: Class B driving license, reliability, punctuality and a sense of responsibility as well as a high degree of willingness to learn, commitment and teamwork skills
Duration: 3 years
Start: annually on September 1st

What awaits you: A varied apprenticeship in a modern company with a long tradition. Your responsibilities will include behind the wheel, in the workshop, and in the office. You will drive our passenger buses, adhering to traffic regulations, road safety, and environmental protection. The theoretical and practical training for the Class D driver's license will take place during working hours.

Training focus: Obtaining a Class D driving license, planning and scheduling of driving operations, procurement, sales and distribution of services, knowledge of the various buses we use (hybrid, electric, and diesel buses) in passenger transport and their maintenance, preparation and implementation of transport based on the latest technical standards.
