Line 979 - a community line goes electric

Line 979 connects the central bus station in Bottrop with the city of Oberhausen-Sterkrade and is operated jointly by the two transport companies STOAG and VESTISCHE. A total of four vehicles from the manufacturer VDL Bus & Coach of the type Citea SLF-E 2019 have been in operation here since mid-July 120. All four vehicles are designed the same from the outside in order to document the joint project externally. Unlike usual, the buses are not kept in the STOAG colors of green and yellow, but are a real eye-catcher thanks to the striking blue-and-white design with the landmarks from Oberhausen and Bottrop.
