SozialTicket is valid from November 1st

From November 1st, the SozialTicket is valid in Oberhausen for an initial 14 months. It consists of an authorization card that is issued by the responsible authorities and the JobCenters. The SozialTicket includes a monthly token, which is available for 29,90 euros in 45 private ticket outlets and in the STOAG customer centers from October 19. The tokens can also be bought in the STOAG Infomobile, which is in use on Tuesdays at Wappenplatz in Osterfeld, Wednesdays at the weekly market in Alt-Oberhausen and Thursdays at the Schmachtendorf-Mitte stop from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

“Customers who want to travel with a SozialTicket should first contact the responsible authority in order to obtain the authorization card,” explains press spokeswoman Sabine Müller. “Then nothing stands in the way of buying the token. Passengers who are already STOAG subscribers and who are entitled to a SozialTicket will receive their new chip card in our customer centers, ”continues Sabine Müller. "You have to bring your authorization card with you."

The SozialTicket is issued as a personal ticket, which means it is not transferable. Like all personal tickets, it is only valid in conjunction with an identity card or other official photo ID. In addition, the entitlement ID must be carried with the SozialTicket.

The SozialTicket is valid in price level A for Oberhausen on all buses, trams and regional trains and regional express trains. Within Oberhausen, up to three children under the age of 19 can travel for free Monday to Friday from 24 p.m. and all day on weekends, public holidays and on December 31th and 15st.

With an additional ticket, the validity can be extended beyond the city limits or a bicycle can be taken. An additional ticket is then required for each trip, person and bike. A brochure with further details and a list of the private ticket agencies where the tokens are available is available from the responsible authorities and the JobCenters.
