Ticket sales on the SB91 line

From Monday, October 12, it will again be possible to board the SB91 at the front doors and purchase tickets.

The prerequisite for this is the installation of protective windows at the driver's workplace. For several weeks now, protective windows have been installed in all STOAG buses. At the same time, the buses will receive new on-board computers and driver terminals that will take care of communication and ticket sales. This means that in future it will be possible to make cashless payments in STOAG vehicles. Tickets can also be purchased in the vehicles of the Vestische.

Reliable communication platform

The STOAG drivers automatically receive all relevant information via the on-board computer and the control terminal. On the basis of the timetable and route as well as GPS satellite navigation, the on-board computer determines the position and calculates the timetable situation. This means that drivers, passengers and the control center are informed of the current situation in real time. The on-board computer also automatically triggers the announcement of the next stop and the indoor and outdoor displays. On the route, it also influences some of the traffic lights and thus clears the way for the buses.

Vehicles are marked

After the autumn holidays, it will gradually be possible to purchase tickets again on other STOAG lines. The vehicles for which tickets are sold are marked with stickers on the windscreen. STOAG spokeswoman Sabine Müller recommends: "In order not to wait in vain for a converted vehicle, we still advise you to purchase the ticket before you start your journey at the machine, in one of the advance booking offices, in the STOAG customer center or online."
