STOAG recommends the use of buses and trams to visit the city center and Neue Mitte in the run-up to Christmas. Local public transport - especially on the car-free local public transport route - is a good alternative to avoid the traffic problems in the run-up to Christmas. Experience has shown that there will be significant traffic jams, especially on the Saturdays before Christmas, November 30th, December 7th, 14th and 21st. On these Saturdays, STOAG is strengthening its lines on the route between the main train station, Neue Mitte and Sterkrade.
For drivers, we recommend the P + R facilities Wertfeldstraße (stop Olga Park) and Landwehr (stop Landwehr)
